What does life look like when you've already died twice? Using the symbolism of the medlar fruits to surround her, model Amie (death defying bionic badass @bionictatter) poses with the autumn leaves and fruits. Symbolic of fleetingness the fruit is rotten before it’s ripe, it’s also vanishingly rare in England today. It was a fitting symbol to include in the portraits of Amie as she has a very rare condition which caused her two sudden cardiac arrests. Amie is a tattoo artist so using black ink really fitted both the imagery of the black dress and the style of her own artworks. The background is dreamlike with muddy yellows and greens.
Part of the 'Heart Heroes' series supported using public funds from Arts Council England.
